Set
in Tokyo's real Toshimaen Amusement Park, this is the story of group
of young female friends who find themselves in fatal danger after taking
a risk in the park's notorious haunted house. At first, they aren't
particularly concerned when some members of the group go missing. But
soon the 'wandering off' excuses become irrational and the girls
must face the dire reality.
Hiroshi
Takahashi has directed very few movies. He is better known as a prolific
scriptwriter, responsible for numerous genre films including all of
the RINGU
movies and Hideo Nakata's ghost story DON'T
LOOK UP. Lead actress Rie Kitahara (playing Saki here) was a
long-time member of Japan's mega-popular singing group AKB48 (2008-2018)
before quitting to pursue an acting career.
