Jennifer Baines (Samantha Eggar) arrives in Guanajato Mexico to join her husband Mark (Roy Jenson). They have recently purchased a silver mine but the local workers refuse to go inside because they believe it's haunted by an ancient curse about a 'devil's hand.' . Mark and Jennifer go into the mine to prove everything is safe. But, once inside, she accidentally causes a wall to collapse, revealing a mummified body of a female. , Then Mark finds a miniature hand-shaped coffin. He is obsessed with taking it and puts the curious object into his pocket. Later that night, Mark opens the coffin, finding nothing but dust. However, the hand reforms from the dirt and possesses him. He is under its control, becoming the first of numerous victims in a bloody rampage.

This is the very rare Mexican print (shot in English), running 15 minutes longer than the US release.
